The most recent data presented in this edition of the Yearbook cover the period at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. To facilitate the assessment of the impact the pandemic had on the situation in Wrocław, the year 2019 has been adopted as a new reference period in the publication. Detailed information regarding social transformations and processes occurring in the city’s economy has been compiled into 20 thematic sections. Additionally, information from the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021 is included, covering aspects such as people with disabilities.

The Statistical Office in Wrocław is pleased to present the twenty-third edition of the “Statistical Yearbook of Dolnośląskie Voivodship”. The publication contains a rich set of information characterising the standard of living of the society and the state of the voivodship’s economy. Detailed statistical data are grouped in 21 thematic sections. The study ends with two review tables containing selected information on the voivodship in comparison with the country in 2021 as well as important data on the voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2021. The statistical material included in the publication was supplemented with general notes containing explanations concerning terminology, methodology and scope of presented information. The current edition presents the final results of the Agricultural Census 2020, as well as the preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021. In addition, the annex presents for the first time the Delimitation of Rural Areas for statistical purposes, which was developed by Statistics Poland. The publication is also available in printed version and on the website of the Statistical Office wroclaw.stat.gov.pl.

The Statistical Office in Wrocław has prepared the next edition of the annual "Report on the socio-economic situation of the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship". The publication is an analysis of the phenomena taking place in the national economy in the voivodship and a presentation of their internal diversity in terms of phenomena important from the point of view of socio-economic development, i.e. human capital (including demographic processes, labor resources, high school-leaving exams passing), the quality of life of residents, economy, including processes related to the development of entrepreneurship, investment implementation, production and services, economy infrastructure, public finances, environmental protection. The categories are presented dynamically (in a long-term retrospection), as well as in relation to the average values ​​for the country.
