The publication consists of methodological notes, a descriptive and a tabular part. The methodological part includes some basic notions and definitions, methodology of survey and definitions of indicators characterizing the degree of tourism development and intensity of tourism. The analytical part describes tourism infrastructure – its distribution, use and development in a surveyed period as well as a rank of the Dolnośląskie voivodship in Poland. The tables show figures on tourist accommodation facilities and the activity of Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK).
The basic information is presented by subregions, powiats and gminas. Additionally, in order to present the full tourist potential of the voivodship, the most important information is also shown on the background of the country and other voivodships. Selected phenomena and relations have been
illustrated on charts and maps.
